Houdini’s Escape Room Experience - Warrington

We did the apocalypse room recently and the experience wasn't great. Some of the puzzles require observation from the staff, via the cctv cameras, and they clearly weren't watching intently as we had previously solved two of the problems without them realising such that nothing happened and we ending up going down another route. When we asked for a clue they told us to do what we had already done. Wouldn't recommend.

We (a group of 4 with two children) did the Captain Blackheart room. The room itself was fine and as expected from an escape room. It was listed as medium difficulty but it often required clues from the host. The issue was that the host of our room didnt appear to be paying much attention. We asked for clues and a lot of the time were given responses that didn't match with where we were up to or were things we had already done. Other times we were stood asking for help and they took ages to respond. Whenever they came on the speaker we could hear other people in the background messing about and laughing. At the end, we completed the room but the final action the host needed to do to complete it. They again, clearly weren't paying attention as they came in and told us we hadn't done it in time, when we'd been stood waiting for them to do their bit. They were clearly distracted and not paying attention and it ruined the experience for us to be honest. It was my son's first escape room experience and I was disappointed with how it went as he didn't enjoy it.

Alex was great made the whole experience way better, didn't help us unless we really needed it would highly recommend to a friend
